I have a number of friends that like to do a little "So What Wednesday" post. I love the idea because it makes us all a little more human... realizing we are all just trying to "MAKE IT WORK" (love Tim Gunn!) everyday. Our lives are not as picture perfect and Pinterest-y (I like that word!) as we'd like them to be, yet they totally are perfect in their own little way... I wouldn't trade my organized (or maybe, not-so) chaos for anything!
So here's my little stab at SO WHAT WEDNESDAY...
- The pizza Andrew surprised me with on Friday since we were unable to eat lunch together and was supposed to also be a meal or two for Carson while Andrew was gone was fully consumed by me.
- The kid pooped his pants during swim lessons, so I changed in on a towel in these people's driveway (off to the side, of course)... pretty sure I didn't take all my poop with me... there was corn... and some got away. I'm sure the ants will take care of it.
- I have a couple dresses which are pretty much modern-day muumuus (yep, had to look up the spelling) that I wear WAY too much.
- I totally Googled "profesional wrestling moves" for my last post to try to find one that described what Carson likes to do. There were too many. I gave up.
- My "junk drawer" pretty much extends to occupy my entire office.
- I stayed up until midnight watching Pawn Stars last night... love that show...so interesting!
- I am shamefully having the most un-Pinterest-y 2nd birthday party for Carson. There's just WAY too much going on in July... we're taking the easy way out on this one and sticking with a 95% family party. He won't remember, right?
- I have been talking about buying bedroom furniture for 4 years. Still haven't. Our room is the biggest joke.
- One of Andrew's co-workers brought back some cookies from Minnie's Bake Shop at Disney World. Carson LOVES his "Minnie-Mow Coo-Key", so once the real ones ran out, I kept the box and have just put Nilla wafers in there but still tell him they are Mickey Mouse cookies. So far, I've faked him out and he still gets excited.
- I also tell him his Singular (sp?) allergy pills are cookies. He eats it right up.
- I refuse to spend any real money on Carson's clothes because he's a little boy and has already ruined a lot of things, so the vast majority of his clothes are hand-me-downs or from eBay. (Note: You can get some precious smocked Jon Jon's & rompers for cheap!)
- My child pretty much says the F-word when trying to say "flag"... yep, some guy in the line to board the plane confirmed that's what he thought he was saying.
