St. Charles Halloween Carnival
Carson has not been the best behaved child this week, so... as predicted, he didn't last too long at the carnival. We got there right at 6:00pm and were gone by 6:30pm.
He was a "Halloween Cow"... "Mooo"
Hands down favorite game... he would have played all night.
Cheater..
Fishing!
Samuel braving the "roller coaster!"
It actually goes pretty fast!
(And no, my shirt is not burnt orange.)
Cheap Toys = The Best Toys
It's no surprise that Carson loves all things transportation/truck related. Daddy found this 5-pack of Caterpillar trucks (roller, bulldozer, backhoe loader, front end loader, and dump truck) at WalMart for $4... They were a HIT. He will play independently with them for a long time and a pile of dirt is just icing on the cake!
He knows that the names of all the trucks and what they do. He pretends to push the dirt into a pile, then uses the backhoe to pick it up and put the dirt in the dump truck. The dump truck then drives off and dumps the dirt somewhere.
His other favorite toys at the moment are little Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars. He also loves his Cars character cars. Mommy and Daddy are happy because these are all little and can easily be taken with us anywhere. :-)
Wild Man
I left Carson alone in the living room for a few minutes just to come back to this...
Nothing like a good cushion pit to jump on...
It was all fun & games until he got stuck...

Pumpkin Patch!
Yesterday was not a good day (for reasons I will blog about later), so I really wanted to do something fun. I needed to get out of the house and enjoy watching my sweet son run around like a wild man. We hadn't done the pumpkin patch thing yet this year and the weather was gorgeous, so Pumpkin Patch it was.
We went to the Winfree Baptist Church in Bridge City, and they had quite the selection. Apparently they were running low and had just gotten a new shipment... SCORE!
He really wasn't interested at all in the big pumpkins.... I think it was just because he couldn't pick them up. He LOVED the little pumpkins. That kid just kept loading them in the wagon... we had to sneak some out when he wasn't looking.
They had wagons, so Carson was happy.
Loading up the little ones...
My sweet boy!
This one, Daddy!
My handsome boys!
He got distracted by the big trucks driving by.
Little thief... he was ready to walk away with his stash.
Pretty decent family shot...
Joy on a little one's face is good for the soul. I know it was for me yesterday.
Happy Fall, Y'all! (Now, if the weather would just act like it!)
Touch a Truck Day!
Saturday we went to the Beaumont Children's Museum's Annual Touch-A-Truck Day. Although Carson was not terribly photogenic (I think I have maybe 2 pictures of him looking at me), he had a blast! The kid LOVES trucks and anything transportation related, so he was in heaven!
He looks so little in this HUGE tractor...
The back wheels were probably 6' tall!
He wanted to see this helecopter!
Flying!
Alright, what's next...
Probably shouldn't have let him see the bounce house so early... I could barely get him out!
Until we got here... we played here a LONG time.
I like his choice of friends (i.e. another Little Aggie).
Love this sweet boy!
Cows! Moooo!!!!!!!!
Ambulance!! Who--oo--oo! He told me "Bye, Mommy... see you tomorrow" and then tried to close the door.
Fire Truck!
A big truck with a LOUD horn... Heaven to him, Hell to everyone around us at that time.
This was definitely a fun little outing. I wish Andrew had been in town and could have come with us. I took one for the team and DVR'd the A&M/LSU game versus watching it live. However, I was able to watch {almost} the whole thing in silence while the little man took his nap... commercial free!
