11 Months!!!

Since Elizabeth turns a year in less than a week, I figured I should probably wrap this post up and finally hit "Publish"!

------------------------

Only one away from ONE YEAR old!!  I still can't believe it!!

Elizabeth is so much fun and such a mess!!  She definitely has a strong little personality and is one tough cookie!!  She can hold her own against Carson and has been called {lovingly} a brute by her teachers at school.  She is definitely my child... quite a busy body and is always getting into whatever she can.  She's pretty destructive and can clear a coffee table empty a bag or drawer in no time!  :-)  She is also fascinated with plugs.   I can't seem to keep her away.  No bueno.

She is as happy as can be and is a favorite among her teachers for her easy-going personality.  You can tell she's a second child because she is very go-with-the-flow.

She's still sleeping great... she's usually asleep by 7, if not sooner, and will sleep until 7-7:30.  Nap times at school are still pretty weak.  She's usually just getting in one nap for about an hour.  She'll sleep practically all weekend though... easily 2 naps that are at least 2 hours each, often more!

She's getting the hang of table food pretty good now and loves shredded cheese, graham crackers, beans, most meat, green beans.  She's usually pretty good at trying most anything.

She still will nurse at night, but I've not been as great about pumping lately and can tell my supply is going down.  I'm just thankful she still wants to nurse some.   Carson was for sure over it by this point.

She's started shaking her head "no" for just about everything.  Other than "ma ma" and "da da", she really hasn't tried to say much else.... Carson does most of the talking.  She does try to say "uh oh", but it comes out "uh uh."

She still hasn't quite taken off walking which is shocking to me because she's been cruising around furniture for a LONG time now.  She's also been standing on her own really easily for a long time.  She's got the balance, but hasn't quite gotten brave enough to take off.  When she does, she'll be moving!!  She's taken about 5 steps at most.... It's been like that for easily over a month.  I think her first steps on her own were just under 10 months.  I thought FOR SURE she'd be off by now, but I think she's perfectly happy with crawling.  This girl can scoot!!!

"Boo" baby!!!

She LOVES her brother!!!

Never too early for Christmas jammies!

Veteran's Day!

She had to join me at work one day... like I said.  She's destructive.

Practicing for her birthday!

Add tamales to the list of food she likes!

Soccer!!!

So my friend Courtney's blog has inspired me to start trying to blog again.  I love all the short, "this is our life right now" posts, and I used to be good at them.  I enjoyed writing them.  I've just been lazy.  I love going back and reading about Carson, so sorry Elizabeth, you've gotten the shaft.  Anyways, I'm going to try to start doing some quick posts again just to capture the real stuff.

So... for starters... SOCCER!!!

Carson is OBSESSED with sports.  Football first, then soccer.  I've totally been the lazy and selfish mom that didn't sign their kid up for fall soccer because 1) I didn't know the signups were in the spring and 2) The season is like 12 weeks long and games are on Saturday.  Let's be real, we are gone A LOT on the weekends (crazy robbers, please don't come to our house), so how in the world could we really play when we're gone all the time?!?  We did sign him up for indoor soccer at the Y.  It's only 5 games, and they are on Mondays.  We can do this.... except practices are on Tuesdays at 5:30 and so is CCD.  I really do feel awful that we are choosing soccer instead of church for 2 weeks. :-(  Games are at 5:00pm... seriously.  Even the coach wasn't sure how he was going to pull that one off.  Oh well... we'll all figure it out.

Anyways, they were SO cute!!!  Carson is the freakishly tall kid.  Combine being one of the oldest (it's 3-4 year olds), along with being super tall makes him look a little out of place.  We're excited that one of our friends, Levi, is on the team too!

Carson thought it was constantly his turn and enjoyed running back and forth the best.  Each time he cheated and got a head start.  He also declared, "I'm the winner!" every time he got to the wall first.  Of course you are, kid.  You cheated.  :-)  We can't wait for the first game!!  I think they are the "Minions"... (from Despicable Me).  Trying to get eight 3-4 year olds to make a decision didn't exactly happen, so the coach noticed one girl had a Despicable Me shirt on and mentioned "Minions", no one objected, so I think that's what stuck.  We'll see!

Annual LWS Pumpkin Decorating!

A fun tradition at Carson's school every year is decorating a pumpkin!  Then they take the kids pictures in the patch.  It's always really cute!

His first year he made a deer.  The next it was Dusty Crophopper from Planes.  This year we were a lot less ambitious than the Dusty plane from last year, but it actually turned out super cute!!

Showing me his football player muscles...

Mrs. Lori gave us pics from all the activities over the last few years and these were in there... I had never seen them!  So cute!!!
