We had a low-key Mothers Day, which was perfect! Someone was pretty crabby when he woke up, but still managed to give me some sweet sugar (in my hair!) at breakfast.
Wanda and Dan drove down Sunday morning and went to church with us. Carson's been on some medicine that "may cause irritability" (well, it certainly does!), but luckily despite how our Mothers Day started off, he gifted me with over a 2 1/2 hour nap. After Carson woke up, we enjoyed some fresh boiled shrimp, baked sweet potatoes, and broccoli (all faves at our house!). Carson ate the heck out of the shrimp and broccoli.
Love this sweet (and very handsome!) little boy!!!
Blowing his Mommy a kiss!

Deep in conversation with Wannie...
Something must have been funny...
Tickle Fight!
After they left, Carson just wanted to lay low and snuggle. That's pretty much what we did all weekend. Pediapred (baby steroids) have taken it out of him. He has been such a grump, a snuggly grump!
Oh, and this sweet boy's daddy gave me some beautiful flowers and new shades! Good job, Andrew!
I also feel so incredibly blessed to have a wonderful, loving, and supportive mother. What an amazing example you have set for me in how to raise my child. Hopefully more of your patience will rub off on me! I certainly need lots of that when raising a toddler! I love you, Mom!!! Wish we weren't so far away...
I also am so fortunate to have an incredible mother-in-law. No stereotypical "in-laws" here! You have done an amazing job in raising your son, and now he is an amazing dad! Love you, Wanda!!!
I hope all the moms, moms-to-be, and moms at heart had a wonderful Mothers Day. For those that have lost their mother, I hope the day was filled with beautiful memories.
