Backyard Silliness!

Isn't he just the cutest?!?!  Love this kid!!!

His Daddy has created a monster.  He does not want to 'regular' swing at home (he will other places), but instead likes to be twisted up and let go.... He'll be one that loves the Tea Cups at Disney World...

Yes, we know our siding needs to be fixed... please don't make it worse.

He loves playing on his zebra from Vivi....

He can go FAST!

Love that cheesy SMILE!!

WHEEEE!!!!

Crashing the zebra into the trash can = FUN!

Until it 'breaks'.... Mr. Fix It at work...

Silly Boy!

Love these nights with our little family!

Dancin' in the Rain!

Since it's rained just about every day for the last week or so, our evening, outside playtime has been significantly impacted.  HOWEVER, I learned that our little one LOVES to go on the front porch (which is a little bit covered) and watch the "WAIN."  For some reason, the direction of the rain has also been in our favor in that our house has blocked some of the down pour.  Carson can go out from underneath the porch without getting soaked.  We drag our foldout chairs and plastic Thomas chair out there and just hang out.

He's picked all the weeds out from between the cracks in the concrete...

And throws the weeds up in the air...

We love our vintage "I'm a Little Aggie" shirt that was Khaki's!

We found a lizard in the plant...Can you see it??

Against Mommy's orders, we still like to pick all her flowers...

And DEMAND I take them...

I really need to bust out the good camera, this camera phone is TERRIBLE!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a pretty low-key Father's Day weekend, which was nice since little man is still trying to get better and so is his mommy. Yeah, apparently I had a little adult Mono... that explains the pure exhaustion. Anyways...

Saturday morning I made pancakes.... C got a Mickey Mouse pancake. This kid LOVES pancakes.  He had THREE.

We then ran around for a little while to pick up Andrew's suit for Jeremy & Jamie's wedding, ate lunch on the go at Chick-fil-A, and also went to Academy.  The dressing area at Mens Warehouse was a huge hit.  Full mirrors on three sides.  It was his own little stage.  He was just dancing and watching himself, getting slobbery fingerprints all over the nice, clean mirrors.  Sorry, Mens Warehouse.

Sunday morning we went to Mass and then Wannie and Papi came over. Andrew cooked a delicious beef tenderloin from the meat market in Weimar. YUM! YUM!

Daddy got some lures and fishing shirts from Carson (in a Mickey Mouse bag)...

I said it was a lazy day...

Three generations...

Getting candy from Papi...

So sweet...

He thought he was going with them...

There were quite a few tears when he realized he was NOT going with them...

I wished I could have spent the day with my daddy too!  I love this pic (on a button...remember those) from back in our Indian Princess days.  Running Deer and Large Growly Bear FOREVER!!!

I feel so blessed to have a loving, supportive, faith-filled father that has set such a good example for me.  I am also so thankful for a amazing father-in-law that loves me as his own and has set such a great example for Andrew.  Andrew is the best daddy to our little Carson, and I am so thankful that God chose him to be his father.  He is his world and it shows!  I love all these amazing men in my life!

Carson-isms

Andrew thought we should try to start tracking all of Carson's cute little sayings and mis-pronunciations, so here's a few that came to mind....

"Mickey-Mow" or "Minnie Mow" - both for Mickey Mouse
"Dee Dee Duck" - Donald Duck
"Shoo-Doo" - Shooter, one of our dogs
"Bee Bees" - Blueberries
"Bye-Bye Tee Tee" - When you flush the toilet
"Bye-Bye Baff and Bye-Bye Wa Wa" - Saying goodbye to the bath tub after his bath
"WAANNNEE" - The kid loves rain.
"Wa-Wee" for Wannie
"Bob-ee"  for Papi
"Fag" or "Fack"- for Flag... going for need to work on this one or he may get himself in trouble.
"I-Pad" - he says it right, it's just cute.
After he eats he starts yelling for the "Goggies" (doggies) to come clean up the floor.
He can name all the kids in his class based on their class picture.  I think "Sissa" (Alyssa) is his little girlfriend.
He can copy just about anything we say, but the two things he probably hears the most, 'Carson' and 'I Love You', he hasn't said.
He thanks God for pretty random things in his prayers - Emily (from Thomas the Train), Coo Coo (my dad's cuckoo clock), lights, the moon, doggies, "Sissa"...
He's made a little nest with all his "goggies" in his bed.  He walked in from church yesterday at 10:45 and said "night night goggies" and went right to his crib and wanted to take a nap.
When reading Good Night Moon ("Night Night Moon"), he repeats so many of the pages... he quietly says "hush" and it cracks me up.  Oh, and it's a "bunny" not an old lady.  @ Kelsey - Thanks for that book!  It's definitely one of his favorites and is almost falling apart now because we read it SO much.
Randomly counted to 5 yesterday when taking Gatorade bottles in and out of the pantry.
Loves to yell out letters he sees on signs when we are out in public.

More to come... these were just the first that popped in my mind.

Random phone picture dump of our little cutie...

Tough Cookie!

Poor little Carson seems he's going to be the "sick kid" until we can get these allergies, or whatever it is, figured out.  His nose has run like a faucet for as long as I can remember.  It's always clear, but it's constantly running.  We've tried different allergy meds, but nothing seems to do much.  The ENT had us try removing milk and eggs from his diet to see if that could be it.  We didn't notice a difference.  He's also been a serious drooler... way more than normal in my opinion.  It seems a little better, but I think the drooling is mostly because he breathes through his mouth... because he's got so much crud up his nose.

Anyways, Carson developed his horrible, croupy cough the last couple weeks, so we finally took him to the pediatrician since it didn't seem to be improving.  We had a major meltdown in the waiting room.  He's definitely at that toddler stage where he's going to through a tantrum when you either won't let him do what he wants, or when you make him stop doing something he's enjoying.  That was the case here.  The BIG Legos were just so much fun that he didn't want to stop playing when they called his name.  This was definitely one of his best tantrums yet.  It continued all the way through the door, to the back nurses station, and then to the room.  He would not allow them to weigh him, and only finally calmed down when I bribed him with the iPad (thank you, Jesus, for the iPad!).  The next tantrum was when the doc wanted to look at his throat.  That was fun.  I pretty much had to lay on top of him to hold him down.  Anyways....

The doc said he had bronchitis, but was also wheezing.  The plan of action was this:

Breathing treatments every 4 hours for a couple days and then as needed thereafter.
Another round of Prednisolne (steroids)
Antibiotics for the bronchitis
A different allergy med, Singular (since Zyrtec didn't seem to do much)

He was a little charmer at the pharmacy and flirting with all the ladies, but was OUT on the way home.

Such a pro....

Snuggle time afterwards...

The first breathing treatment was a NIGHTMARE.  He fought it so hard and it was so sad to watch.  What's so funny now is that he acts like he actually likes it.  He doesn't fight it at all now and it really seems to calm him down.  Thank you, Jesus!  He gets in his Thomas or Mickey Mouse watching zone, and all is good!

He seems to be doing better after doing all this over the weekend.  He's still coughing, but not nearly as often or as bad.  It sounds like it's trying to break up.  The ENT seemed to think that having his adenoids & tonsils out might be the next step, but I think we may get a second opinion first.  I don't feel like we've tried enough to figure out the source of the problem.  Poor buddy!  I hope we can get this figured out soon...

Dancing Queen

What can I say, the kid has moves...
