#toledobendtrailerlife

This might be my longest post EVER... LOTS of pics!  When you are trying to catch up on blog posts, it takes too long to cull pictures, SO you just post them all!  :-)

Earlier in the year we bought ourselves an RV to leave up at the lake.  We have always enjoyed going to Toledo Bend and wanted it to be something our kids enjoyed too.  A "real lake house" wasn't exactly financially feasible yet, so we opted for the next best thing... a trailer.  :-)

It's ours!!

Our view... not too shabby!!!

The setup.... we'll probably get a cover here before too long.

The first two trips up there were not what we were hoping for in terms of weather, but the third was glorious!

The first was when a cold front came through and all the pipes froze (1st week of March).  We had no water the whole time we were there and it was cold/rainy outside.  This was our "Spring Break."  Andrew took the whole week off to essentially sit in a 28' RV the whole time.  Yuck... being stuck inside with an almost 4 year old boy with more energy than the Energizer Bunny and a little infant was not ideal.  We survived.  We played A LOT of games.

We LOVE the boat at the Mexican restaurant!.... the same one that has "Jesus Schar" :-)

Jesus Schar!  (Back story... Carson looked up and saw this and said it was Steven (Amanda's new hubby whose last name is Schar), so it's a little inside joke...)

He was SOOOO excited that Daddy let him ride in the boat (for like 50 yard and going 5 mph with the stipulation that it he so much as moved his rear end from the seat the ride was OVER.)

Games... LOTS of games.

Earning his keep...

We created a "guest suite" in the back.  Haha

Little baby, little tub

Pups like it too...

Checkin' out the NASA museum.

Love these two...

Not sure what's going on here....

The second trip (last weekend in March) included 60+ mph winds that knocked the power out for the entire weekend.  Thankfully, after that storm, the weather was gorgeous, so the fact there was no A/C or hot water didn't end up being that big of a deal.  We were just beyond thankful that we weren't the ones in the cabin two doors down.  It was empty (Praise Jesus!).

Yeah, no bueno...

SO THANKFUL no one was in there...

This kid loves him some DQ...

I'm surprised he even tried it.... this kid is not a fan of cold sweets.

That tongue....

Love our view!!!

The sandbox has been a life saver!

The most recent trip (Easter weekend) was fabulous!!  We had beautiful weather and Carson finally learned to ride his bike (with training wheels).  He has struggled forever with the whole pedaling thing, but with some genius's recommendation of saying that pedaling is a pattern (think Umizoomi), he got it right away!

Always obsessed with sibling pics....  my little loves....

My little cowboy...

Completely on his own... he loves his "little princess"/"my baby"

The Easter Bunny came a little earlier than Sunday and was very generous this year.  :-)

Ready for the big weigh in!

She loves her Daddy!

He thinks he's the one that won the trophy - 3rd Place!!!

Love the sweet innocence of a little boy fishing....

Especially with his Daddy...

Checking out a float plane flying over....

Happy Easter!

Look who we found at church!  We love Mrs. Phyllis & Mr. Eddie!

FYI - #toledobendtrailerlife has been my Instagram hashtag for all our pics from the lake :-)
