Andrew's 30th Birthday!

This past weekend we celebrated Andrew's 30th birthday with a crawfish boil. In addition to the crawfish boil on Saturday, it really was also an all-weekend get together of old college friends.

We had 3 people stay here Thursday night and 8 people on Friday and Saturday night. We had about 30 people (family, friends, co-workers) over on Saturday afteroon.

It was a BLAST seeing everyone, but man, I'm TIRED!!!

Friday we just hung out and enjoyed hot dogs outside. Carson had his first hot dog and loved it. The kid scarfed down the whole thing!

Saturday morning, the guys went fishing and the girls (and Carson and Trigger) went to the Splash Park/Tugboat Island/the Neches River. I've made a post about that on Monday. But, in case you missed it, here's a couple pics.

Trigger checking out the big oil tanker that just passed.

Family started arriving around lunch time to help set up. BIG thank you to Wanda and Kim for clearing the kitchen table and getting all the munchies set up!!!

Someone was tired before the party even started!

The Birthday Boy! (And my cheesy lobster/close enough to a crawfish decorations)

Kiddos in the baby pool!

Someone wanted to escape....

...and did!

Only Andy would give live crawfish earrings a try...

Happy Birthday to You!!!

Swinging is fun!

The close-up of the one above is hilarious!

Carson loves him some cousin Jamie! (Hard to tell in the pic though...someone didn't have their afternoon nap)

Thanks, Michael. Glad you could make it!

Sunday morning we went to church and then headed for Mexican food with the friends still at our house. Carson was WORN OUT. This was the first outing where we had to leave early because he was VERY grumpy. He did eat his beans though. :-)

Before the meltdown...

We even got a 1-hour and 2-hour nap out of him on Sunday. For those who have been following, you know that is a MAJOR accomplishment and rarity at our house!

I think we had a pretty successful party... at least LuLu thought so when she told ViVi, "Now THIS is a PARTY!" :-)

One party down, one to go... Carson's 1st birthday is NEXT MONTH!
